Malaysia Esthetic Association MEA was established in May 2014 and is a non profitable organization which acts as lead body for qualification in the industry of cosmetology through education and service.
Malaysia Esthetic Association MEA is acting as a member section of CIDESCO International. Cidesco International is the world’s major international beauty association which was founded in 1946 with its head office in Zurich, Switzerland. Cidesco International is represented in over 31 countries with an Education section, offering the world’s most prestigious qualification in the field of beauty therapy and spa. There are over 230 Cidesco schools around the world teaching to the internationally acclaimed Cidesco standards leading to the Cidesco Diploma.
MEA is a registered non profitable association approved by the government to provide effective advocacy in industry, government affairs, training and education and to promote the standards, ethics and safety practice for the industry.
MEA will be one of the representatives of the industry to support the government plan mainstream and enhance the value proposition and attractiveness of technical education and vocational training as a viable alternative for individuals to their full potentials and improve the composition of highly skilled workers in becoming a developed nation.
MEA provides guidance on careers, scholarship, business development, salon safety, and is responsible to lead cosmetology practitioner for national and International qualification.
To develop networking for business opportunities globally.
To make representations on behalf of members to Government and all organisations with which the Association has common interests.
To nominate representatives from members, who can represent the beauty industry in committees as required by the government.
To encourage ethical standards of business conduct within the beauty industry.
To study, educate, develop and promote the beauty industry.
To educate and create awareness of the beauty industry to the public.
To encourage social activities which will promote understanding, goodwill and fellowship amongst members.
To promote fair competition in the spirit of free enterprise.
To organize or participate in activities pertaining to the beauty industry.
MALAYSIAN ESTHETIC ASSOCIATION will contribute significantly to the growth and development of the beauty industry in Malaysia.
MALAYSIAN ESTHETIC ASSOCIATION shall ensure that its members will operate ethically and professionally and meet the needs of all stakeholders by providing effective advocacy in industry and government affairs, training and education.
